The Ruactiva project is a regeneration initiative designed to promote ideas, cultural projects, goods, or services through direct public engagement by occupying currently inactive urban spaces. This temporary involvement aims to preserve the city’s image and vibrancy, filling its voids with a regenerative presence that embodies an entrepreneurial society.
**RUACANTO Festival**
Prioritizing the activation of urban spaces, we proposed an intervention in a public area through a festival. The proposed installation served as a platform for information sharing, aiming to engage artists and creators with strong ties to the Azores through their careers and projects. They were invited to present their works, offering the public a cultural and educational experience that was instinctive, direct, and immediate.
The chosen location targets a city area in need of activation by enhancing its morphological features, addressing its isolated situation.
