The Line House occupies a challenging thin site, wedged into a traditional fishing village on the North side of Sao Miguel island. We used a typical angled roof form stretched the length of the buildable site, carved into the functional volumes which were all connected by a thin glass corridor. This results in an abstract traditional village, while fulfilling all the spacial requirements, while allowing the garden to infiltrate into the building, giving the impression of walking through the garden when circulating from one volume to another.<\/p>\n
